"Acupuncture Fever: The Road To Legalization in California” is a documentary that tells the story of the struggle to bring acupuncture to the mainstream in California in the 1970s. Due to the fact that acupuncture was illegal at this time, a group of dedicated practitioners, patients, community leaders and politicians come together in and around San Francisco’s Chinatown to push for legalization. We follow their journey as they fight to prove the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture, despite facing strong opposition. The documentary highlights the dedication and perseverance required to make acupuncture a legal and accepted practice in California.Don't miss this chance to learn about the rich history of acupuncture and its journey to mainstream acceptance.
