国际南少林五祖拳联谊总会于1989年在菲律宾首都马尼垃倡议发起，1990年10月间在中国泉州正式成立。当初只有十四个国家及地区单位参加, 直至目前乃有40多个国家和地区的五祖拳团体加入。南少林五祖拳是中国传统拳术中的南拳之一。南少林拳, 千百年来薪传不断, 其中以五祖拳最具代表性。五祖拳包括太祖、达尊、罗汉、行者、白鹤五种拳，是福建省七大拳种中历史最悠久,传播地域最广的优秀拳种，已经吸引了亚洲、美洲、澳洲、非洲、欧洲40多个国家和地区的众多武术爱好者研习。 南少林五祖拳在2008年6月7日，已被国务院批准列入第二批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。南少林五祖拳, 招招都具有勇猛剽悍之形，雄伟磅礴之势！此片段采取于1992年在泉州所举辧的国际南少林五祖拳综合拳首次比赛。综合拳的套路是在1991年举辧的联会上由来自各国的五祖拳专家一起共同精心编制而成!!!

The International South Shaolin Wuzuquan Association was initiated in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, during 1989 and was formally established in Quanzhou, China in October 1990. It was first attended by members from 14 countries and regions and now having participants from more than 40 countries and regions. South Shaolin Wuzuquan is one of the traditional Chinese martial arts originated from the southern part of China that has been existed for thousand of years. Five Ancestors Fist or also known as ”Wuzuquan” is the oldest, most popular and most widely spread among the seven major traditional Chinese martial arts in Fujian Province, It is a combination of five major Chinese Shaolin martial art systems that include, Taizu, Dazun, Luohan, Xingzhe and Baihe. It has attracted martial arts enthusiasts from more than 40 countries and regions, those from Asia, America, Australia, Africa, and also many from Europe. South Shaolin Wuzuquan was approved by the State Council and has been included in the list of the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage in June 7, 2008, Every South Shaolin Wuzuquan step and technique has manifested the attribute of being powerful with braveness, energetic, swiftness, speed, and majestic. This video episode was taken from the first international South Shaolin Wuzuquan (Ngo Cho Kun) - Chong Hap Kun competition held at Quanzhou in 1992. The steps and pattern of ”Chong Hap Kun” was set and arranged by South Shaolin Wuzuquan experts from different countries who were present during the conference held in 1991.
