手部麻痛疾病是一种常见的症状，现代医学把手麻分型为中枢性及末稍性, 常因上肢周围神经损伤及卡压导至。现实成因繁多, 多数由于肌肉、肌腱、韧带的劳损形成气滞血瘀，久之引起人体结构的改变不能营养和传导末稍神经所致。在治疗前一定要仔细确诊, 弄清楚原因,才能决定治疗方向。

Hand numbness is fairly a symptom often complained by patients. It is generally classified by modern medicine as either caused by damage to the central nervous system (spinal or brain) or peripheral nerve injury. Majority of the numbness in the upper limb we experienced are often due to compression on a nerve at some points over its course. Actually, there are many reasons that will contribute to hand numbness. A strain in the muscles, tendons, or ligaments if not attended properly will lead to Qi stagnation and blood stasis. 在中医对于手麻一症, 归类属痹证、麻木、瘘证等范畴, 认为引起痹证的主要原因是受到风寒湿邪侵袭。其病机主要为外邪阻滞经络、气血运行不畅，以致肌肉、关节疼痛、麻木，重着、屈伸不利而形成。

In traditional Chinese medicine, hand numbness is mainly classified as Bi-syndrome or within the scope related to numbness or atrophied syndrome. Bi-syndrome means obstruction cause by invasion of exogenous pathogens such as wind, cold and dampness which will hinder the normal circulation of Qi and blood flow in the meridians that result with muscles and joints pain, numbness, heaviness, difficulty in performing flexion and extension.
